  • The changing epidemiology of H. influenzae necessitates awareness of NTHi as a pathogen in immunocompromised cancer patients.
  • Clinicians should consider NTHi in cancer patients presenting with invasive infections, even post-Hib vaccination.
  • Further research into NTHi virulence and treatment in cancer populations is warranted.
