MiR-328 May be Considered as an Oncogene in Human Invasive Breast Carcinoma

MicroRNA-328 (miR-328) expression is elevated in breast cancer tissues compared to normal tissues. However, this study found no significant correlation between miR-328 levels and common prognostic factors in breast cancer patients.

Main Results:
- The median expression level of miR-328 was significantly higher in tumor tissues compared to normal adjacent tissues (NATs).
- No statistically significant correlation was found between miR-328 median expression levels and prognostic factors such as diagnosis, age, ER, PR, HER2, or Ki67-LI (P > 0.05).
Conclusions:
- miR-328 may function as an oncogene in human breast cancer.
- Further research is needed to fully elucidate the role of miR-328 in breast cancer pathogenesis.
