Abstract:
Certified patients' associations in health care work daily to represent and defend users of the health care system. The involvement of patients in therapeutic education programmes is another way of favouring a care approach centred on the patient. There remain, however, many areas which need to be improved to avoid patients and their families experiencing breaks in their care pathway, in particular through the development of community-hospital networks and collaboration between caregivers, patients and patients' associations.
