Using Metaphors to Explain Molecular Testing to Cancer Patients

Metaphors effectively explain complex molecular testing concepts to cancer patients, improving understanding. This study identifies 17 useful metaphors for oncologists to enhance patient communication regarding targeted therapies and genetic alterations.
