Summary

Computerized adaptive testing (CAT) can significantly improve the efficiency of the Four-Dimensional Symptom Questionnaire (4DSQ) by reducing its length by 56%. This makes the 4DSQ a more practical tool for assessing psychosocial problems in general practice.
