    Summary

A solitary neurofibroma, a benign nerve tumor, was found in the mouth of a middle-aged woman. This case highlights the occurrence of oral neurofibromas, which are rare.

    Area of Science:

    • Oral pathology
    • Neurosurgery
    • Oncology

    Background:

    • Neurofibromas are benign tumors arising from nerve sheath cells.
    • Solitary neurofibromas in the oral cavity are uncommon findings.
    • This report focuses on a specific case for clinical insight.

    Observation:

    • A middle-aged female presented with a solitary lesion in her oral cavity.
    • The lesion was surgically excised and pathologically confirmed as a neurofibroma.
    • Clinical and histopathological details of the case are presented.

    Findings:

    • Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of neurofibroma.
    • The tumor exhibited typical features of a neurofibroma.
    • No evidence of malignancy or other neurofibromatosis was noted.
