Purpose of the Study:

  • To elucidate the structural composition of functional IL-2 receptors.
  • To investigate the oligomeric state of the Tac antigen in T-cells.

  • Adsorption of membrane proteins using IL-2 and anti-Tac antibody as ligands.
  • Analysis via sodium dodecyl sulfate/polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (NaDodSO4/PAGE) under reducing and non-reducing conditions.

  • Tac antigen exists as monomers (Mr 54,000) and disulfide-linked homodimers (Mr 105,000) and oligomers.
