Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Lowers Elevated Functional Connectivity in Depressed Adolescents

- Adolescents with depression exhibit heightened connectivity in 'hot' emotional processing regions.
- CBT positively impacted these 'hot' emotional processing circuits, without affecting 'cold' cognitive areas.
- Findings suggest targeted neural system changes in response to therapy for adolescent depression.
