A new, cost-effective kit for detecting procalcitonin (PCT) has been developed using time-resolved immunofluorescent assay (TRFIA) and lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA). This rapid, on-site test shows high accuracy and sensitivity for bacterial infection markers.
