Predicting outcomes in partial nephrectomy: is the renal score useful?

The R.E.N.A.L. nephrometry system (RNS) accurately predicts surgical approach and nephrectomy type for kidney tumors. However, its accuracy in predicting operative time and warm ischemia time is weak, and it does not correlate with complications or blood loss.
