Abstract:
The method of infraorbital anaesthesia along the axis of the second premolar, which has been inaugurated by Jorgensen, is described and critically evaluated in the light of results from morphological, anatomical and clinical studies. Considering the sufficient depth of anaesthesia achieved with this technique, the author regards its simple and safe execution and the avoidance of complications as decided advantages over the conventional technique are recommends it for use in practice.
