Summary

Spruce grouse (Dendragapus canadensis) exhibit significant hatch date synchrony, but this is not influenced by female density or adult-yearling interactions. Juvenile production did not vary with hatch timing, suggesting no immediate adaptive benefit to synchronous nesting.
