Summary

Fully endoscopic stapes surgery showed similar hearing outcomes and complication rates compared to microscopic stapes surgery. Endoscopic techniques reduced the need for chorda tympani manipulation and endaural incisions, suggesting potential benefits for otosclerosis treatment.

  • Pre- and postoperative audiometry and complication data were analyzed.

    • No significant difference in air-bone gap closure (79% in both groups) between endoscopic and microscopic stapes surgery.
