[High-resolution computed tomography of femur head necrosis]
1Radiologische Abteilung des Caritaskrankenhauses, Bad Mergentheim, Universität Heidelberg.
Abstract:
High resolution CT with reconstruction in the sagittal and coronal planes plays a central role in the diagnosis of necrosis of the femoral head. It provides the diagnostician and surgeon with a means for early diagnosis and for determining the extent and localisation of the bone changes; this assists in planning treatment. Additional diagnostic imaging methods are only necessary in isolated cases.
