Findings:
- A multi-modality approach combining oral posaconazole and peribulbar amphotericin B was initiated.
- The patient experienced significant vision improvement and partial recovery of extraocular movements within 20 days.
Implications:
- Prompt, multi-modal management can avert the need for orbital exenteration in severe cases.
- This approach offers a promising alternative for managing rhino-orbito-cerebral mucormycosis, especially in patients with treatment-limiting toxicities.
