Multiple viral plaques with sebaceous differentiation associated with an unclassified papillomavirus type in a cat

  • Immunohistochemistry showed strong p16 protein expression in hyperplastic epidermis and adnexal structures of sebaceous plaques.

  • This study reports feline viral plaques with sebaceous differentiation for the first time.
  • The findings suggest a potential role for an unclassified papillomavirus (FdPV-MY) in causing these unique lesions.
