Ridge augmentation with titanium mesh: A case report.

Summary

This study shows that using a rigid titanium barrier with bone grafts effectively reconstructs alveolar ridges for dental implants. This technique achieves excellent esthetic outcomes, even with minor mesh exposure during healing.

Traditional methods for ridge augmentation include bone splitting, distraction osteogenesis, and bone grafting.
Guided bone regeneration (GBR) offers a promising alternative for increasing bone volume using subperiosteal barriers.
