Chronic urticaria (CU) is linked to thyroid autoimmunity. This study found significantly higher levels of thyroid auto-antibodies, such as anti-thyroglobulin antibody (anti-Tg) and anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody (anti-TPO), in CU patients compared to healthy individuals.

Conclusions:
- A significant association exists between chronic urticaria and thyroid autoimmunity.
- Testing for thyroid auto-antibodies is clinically relevant for patients diagnosed with chronic urticaria.
