Summary

Popliteal vein aneurysm, a rare lower limb venous disease, can lead to serious pulmonary embolism. Surgical management of this condition is presented in two case reports.

Background:

Popliteal vein aneurysm is an uncommon condition affecting the venous system of the lower extremities.
A significant complication of popliteal vein aneurysm is massive pulmonary embolism, posing a serious clinical threat.

Observation:

This report details the surgical management of two patients diagnosed with popliteal vein aneurysm.
The cases highlight the clinical presentation and treatment approach for this rare vascular condition.

Findings:

Surgical intervention was successfully employed in managing the popliteal vein aneurysms in both reported cases.
The outcomes of surgical management for popliteal vein aneurysm were documented.

Implications:

These case reports contribute to understanding the surgical treatment options for popliteal vein aneurysm.
