Summary

Single-port laparoscopic liver resection is feasible and safe for select patients, offering cosmetic benefits and reduced trauma. Experienced surgeons can achieve good outcomes, but initial cases should involve benign lesions.

All nine patients were successfully treated with single-port laparoscopic surgery.

Operative times ranged from 60 to 240 minutes.

One patient experienced bleeding (650 mL); no postoperative complications were reported, with early discharge for all.

Conclusions:

Single-port laparoscopic liver surgery is technically feasible in well-selected patients, yielding good outcomes.
It is a challenging procedure requiring experienced laparoscopic liver surgeons.
Initial cases should focus on benign lesions to ensure oncological safety.
