Summary

Anterior meatuscopy for nasal anesthesia before unsedated transnasal esophago-gastro-duodenoscopy (UT-EGD) significantly reduces pain and adverse events compared to the traditional sniff test. This endoscopic approach improves patient tolerance and outcomes for UT-EGD procedures.
