Correlation of pleural effusions' grayscale sonographic parameters with fluid's analysis results

This study introduces a new ultrasound method to measure pleural effusion echogenicity using pixel density. This hypoechogenicity index (HI) may help differentiate pleural fluid types when combined with traditional biomarkers.
