Low-dose dexamethasone during arthroplasty: What do we know about the risks?

A single low dose of dexamethasone in arthroplasty does not appear to increase surgical site infections (SSI) or impair wound healing, despite concerns. Further research is needed to confirm these findings in a larger patient population.
