Root resorption during orthodontic treatment with Invisalign®: a radiometric study

Summary

Clear aligner orthodontic treatment can cause root resorption (RR), a permanent loss of tooth structure. The incidence of RR with Invisalign® aligners is comparable to traditional orthodontic light forces, with average root length reduction under 10%.
