Abstract:
We have recently cloned a novel human gene named erg related to the ets oncogene. In this report we describe the expression of the erg gene product in E. coli under the control of the tightly-regulated phage lambda PL promoter. Two expression vectors were utilized for the synthesis of the cII-erg and erg-fusion proteins. All these products were recognized by peptide antibodies prepared against the predicted amino acid sequences of erg and the Hu-ets-2 domain which shares homology with erg.
