Summary

This study found that maximum running distance (D') and critical speed (CS) can be reliably measured in both laboratory and field settings using iso-duration runs. However, D' should be used cautiously due to questionable agreement between conditions.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the validity of translating D" and CS measurements.

  • 10 male participants performed iso-duration exhaustive runs.
  • Runs were conducted in both laboratory (treadmill) and field (outdoor track) settings.
