Hand strengthening exercises in chronic stroke patients: Dose-response evaluation using electromyography

Finger flexion exercises in chronic stroke patients activate forearm muscles more effectively than extension exercises. Increased resistance did not significantly boost muscle activity during flexion, suggesting flexion is optimal for strengthening.
