Mycobacterium avium subsp. hominissuis menigoencephalitis in a cat

A rare brain infection caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. hominissuis (MAH) was found in a cat with neurological signs. This is the first reported case of MAH affecting the central nervous system in animals or humans.
