Researchers created nanoscale films mimicking the extracellular matrix (ECM) using poly(l-lysine) (PLL) and fibronectin (Fn). These ECM-mimicking films enhanced pre-osteoblastic cell proliferation and maintained fibronectin in a more biologically active state.
