Immune checkpoint inhibitors like pembrolizumab can cause immune-related adverse events. This study details two metastatic melanoma patients who developed scleroderma during pembrolizumab treatment.

  • Two patients with metastatic melanoma developed scleroderma during pembrolizumab treatment.
  • Patient 1 presented with diffuse scleroderma; Patient 2 presented with limited scleroderma.

Findings:

  • Pembrolizumab therapy was associated with the onset of scleroderma in both patients.
  • Scleroderma is a potential immune-related adverse event of immune checkpoint inhibitors.

Implications:

  • Early identification and management of irAEs are crucial for patient tolerance to ICIs.
