A morphological substantiation of mental fractures. Clinical and experimental study

The clinical impressions and the study performed in connection with them on cadaveric material with a view to clarifying morphologically the "mental fracture" concept is reported. Mental fractures are classified on the basis of muscle interaction on the fragments, used as an objective criterion for fracture classification. Against the background of the data obtained a morphologically substantiated definition of mental fractures is proposed.
