Abstract:
Traumata of the orbita usually affect the bony parts of the orbit, in rare cases foreign bodies are found within the orbita. Also in the latter cases usually there are no difficulties in finding the correct diagnosis due to marked trauma also to the anterior ocular segments. But as to be shown, large intraorbital foreign bodies may be present despite of only minute trauma to the anterior segments, a fact which may easily lead to a false diagnosis.
