Sleep structure in blindness is influenced by circadian desynchrony

Sleep structure in blind individuals is not affected by vision loss but by circadian rhythm entrainment. Abnormal circadian phases in blind individuals can disrupt sleep patterns, increasing wake times and rapid eye movement sleep latency.
