Ezetimibe (EZE) treatment for sitosterolemia reduced 5α-stanols and improved thyroid hormone biomarkers, specifically increasing the free thyroxine to free triiodothyronine ratio (FT3/FT4). This suggests EZE may positively impact thyroid function in these patients.
