False aneurysm of the cheek: report of two cases

Two cases of false aneurysm that occurred in the cheek are described. The clinical and histological findings indicated the lesions were due to hemorrhage caused by blunt and iatrogenic trauma. In addition, a continuous supply of blood into the cystic spaces through small veins or dilated capillaries in the wall was possibly a contributing factor to their pathogenesis. The lesions were successfully treated by surgical excision.
