Netrin-1 and multiple sclerosis: a new biomarker for neuroinflammation?

Netrin-1 levels are lower in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) and multiple sclerosis (MS) patients, especially during relapses. This suggests netrin-1 has an anti-inflammatory role in MS.
