Diffuse Thyroid Metastasis From Lung Cancer Mimicking Thyroiditis on 99mTc-Pertechnetate Scintigraphy

A man suspected of thyroiditis due to low thyroid hormone and absent Tc-pertechnetate uptake was found to have lung adenocarcinoma metastasis. The metastasis completely replaced the thyroid gland, mimicking thyroiditis.
