Use social media to motivate patients
Abstract:
There are challenges and risks in using social media that are well documented in guidance from the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the RCN and online platforms such as WeCommunities. Confidentiality, boundaries, appropriate use by vulnerable groups, and responsible and sensitive communication are recurrent themes. The unintended consequence of this may be to deter some nurses from using social media in their professional lives.
