CT demonstration of aneurysms in polyarteritis nodosa

The CT features in a case of polyarteritis nodosa are reported. Besides the classic cortical renal infarcts, it was possible to demonstrate on CT aneurysms of the renal and pancreatic arteries because of their rather large diameter. The combination of renal aneurysm and renal or splenic cortical infarcts should be considered highly suggestive for polyarteritis nodosa.
