CT-scout based, semi-automated vertebral morphometry after digital image enhancement

Digital image enhancement does not improve the accuracy of software used for detecting osteoporotic vertebral fractures on CT scans. This study found no significant benefit from techniques like sharpening or unsharp masking in improving fracture identification.
