[Typology of therapy-resistant states in schizophrenia]
Abstract:
Clinical regularities in the formation of resistance to therapy in schizophrenic patients make it possible to identify 4 groups of therapy resistance: (1) resistance due to clinical factors (regularities of the process); (2) resistance due to both clinical and therapeutical factors (predicted insufficient cure); (3) resistance due to therapeutic factors in connection with adaptation to drugs and therapeutic errors (inadequate or insufficiently intensive treatment); (4) idiopathic resistance. This systematics of states resistant to therapy may contribute to differentiation of their treatment.
