Maternal infections with rubella and Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) are linked to preeclampsia. Higher IgG antibody levels for these viruses indicate an increased risk, suggesting a need for preventive strategies.

Conclusions:
- Maternal IgG seropositivity for rubella and HSV-2 is significantly associated with preeclampsia.
- These findings underscore the importance of implementing preventive measures against these viral infections in pregnant women.
