Revisiting Nitrofurantoin for Vancomycin Resistant Enterococci

Nitrofurantoin remains effective against Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus (VRE) causing urinary tract infections. This study found high susceptibility rates, suggesting nitrofurantoin as a viable treatment option for VRE UTIs.

- The study highlights the continued utility of nitrofurantoin in the face of rising antimicrobial resistance.
