Exposure to Violence Accelerates Epigenetic Aging in Children

Childhood violence exposure is linked to epigenetic age acceleration, a biological marker of aging. This accelerated aging, measured via DNA methylation in saliva, was associated with increased violence exposure and lower heart rates in children.
