Pre-Participation Physical Fitness does not Influence Adherence to a Supervised Exercise Program

Pre-participation physical fitness levels, including aerobic and non-aerobic components, do not significantly impact medium-term adherence to supervised exercise programs (SEP). This finding suggests focusing on other factors for improving patient engagement in cardiac rehabilitation.
