Lipopolysaccharide suppresses IgE-mast cell-mediated reactions

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) exposure suppresses IgE-mediated anaphylaxis by down-regulating mast cell FcεRI expression via IL-10. This desensitization is temporary, suggesting therapeutic potential for the LPS-TLR-4-IL-10 pathway.
