    Free gingival grafts effectively treated gum recession around teeth over 4 years, showing no recurrence. However, vestibuloplasty procedures experienced some shrinkage and loss of depth post-surgery.

    Background:

    • Gingival recession is a common condition affecting oral health.
    • Free gingival grafts and vestibuloplasty are surgical techniques used to address recession and increase vestibular depth.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the long-term effectiveness of free gingival grafts in treating gingival recession.
    • To assess the stability of vestibuloplasty procedures and changes in vestibular depth over time.

    Main Methods:

    • Free gingival grafts were performed on recession areas of 42 teeth in 12 patients.
    • Postoperative evaluations for recession, vestibular depth, and gingival sulcus depth were conducted over 48 months.
