The quick Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (qSOFA) score effectively predicts mortality in patients with Enterobacteriaceae sepsis, even with appropriate antimicrobial therapy. Altered mental status (AMS) also proved a significant predictor.

- Appropriate initial antimicrobial therapy does not appear to modify the prognostic value of the qSOFA score in Enterobacteriaceae sepsis.
