Road safety: serious injuries remain a major unsolved problem.

Serious road traffic injury rates remain unchanged, with a notable increase in pedal cyclist injuries and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs). Current road safety targets are unlikely to be met without increased prevention efforts, especially for cyclists.
