- Lipid was not detected in SLCCs via Oil red O staining or electron microscopy, excluding sebaceous differentiation.

- SLCCs in lung cancer may represent dedifferentiation or non-specific changes in advanced adenocarcinoma.
- Distinguishing SLCCs from true sebaceous differentiation is essential for correct pathological diagnosis.
